Taking a vacation also saves people! The male nurse who witnessed the OHCA injury in the car accident performed "bloody CPR" and was praised by the fire department: It's great to have you

Nurses are not only frontline professionals who take care of patients, but also the frontline of protecting the health and lives of Taiwanese people. This month, a car accident occurred in Minxiong, Chiayi, where a motorcycle hit a bicycle. A 13-year-old female student suffered head and neck injuries and suffered severe bleeding. Wei Jinglun, a medical nurse at Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital who passed by the scene, stepped forward to rescue the patient bravely. Regardless of the blood of the injured person soaking through his clothes and pants, he and the firefighters at the scene performed CPR rescue for more than 10 minutes until the ambulance personnel arrived to take over.

The female student eventually died of her injuries. She witnessed the nurse’s “bloody CPR operation that could not save her” at the scene. Firefighters from Chiayi and Miaoli were moved and posted messages on social media to express their gratitude. It turned out that nurse Wei Jinglun was on vacation at the time and worked hard to save people but failed. For those who want to know, it was only after the post was exposed that it attracted the attention of the public and the hospital.

Nurse Wei Jinglun said that he was riding a motorcycle to pick up his girlfriend for a date. He was passing by the Taiwan Front Line towards Dalin (North) and saw the girl lying in a pool of blood. He immediately rushed forward to participate in the rescue. At the moment, he assessed that her vital signs were no longer sufficient. If a pulse is detected, perform CPR immediately. During the rescue process, her hands and clothes were stained with blood, demonstrating the nurse’s professionalism and power of love.

Helping OHCA injured patients, life-saving nurses step forward to show love

“Nursing is not only a profession, but also a vocation.” Even outside the hospital, nurses can still protect life and love with their hands, and strive for more survival opportunities for OHCA patients. Lai Ningsheng, director of Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital, said that nurse Wei Jinglun has done her best to help OHCA patients and stepped forward to demonstrate the righteousness of the medical profession. The hospital is very proud and expresses its praise and affirmation.

“Disaster relief is the bounden duty of nursing!” Chen Jiarong, director of the Nursing Department of Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital, said that Wei Jinglun silently performed charity without publicity. He only learned about the disaster relief work outside the hospital after it was reposted on Facebook the next day. I specially bought a pair of trousers to make up for Wei Jinglun’s blood-stained trousers.

Yang Juanyu, the head nurse of Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital, said that although Wei Jinglun is young, he works hard, is just and upright, and bravely saves people even during his off time. He shows the professionalism of a nurse and continues to improve at work. He will be able to take on responsibilities in the future. Advance nursing tasks and assume more important nursing responsibilities.

Nurse Wei Jinglun said that after participating in the rescue, she went home to wash and change her clothes, so she missed an hour of late-night snack time with her girlfriend. Is your girlfriend blaming you for this? He laughed and said that being late to save people was a display of the spirit of great love. His girlfriend also appreciated his heroic performance, which actually helped to warm up the relationship.
