4 major maternal and child-friendly care steps to comprehensively establish a city-wide medical network
Director Chen said that Hsinchu City promotes four maternal and child-friendly happy care steps. The first is the “heart-warming and dream-fulfilling egg freezing subsidy” to allow women of childbearing age to retain their best fertility and preserve their first chance of “life” for when they have fertility needs in the future. At this time, there are still healthy eggs to conceive the next generation. This year, 668 women of childbearing age were assisted in AMH ovarian function blood tests and 167 egg freezing treatments.
Director Chen pointed out that the second step is “tracking and caring for high-risk pregnant women (children) during the pregnancy period”, which provides case management, care, tracking and referral services for high-risk pregnant women (children). This year, 151 pregnant women, Newborns benefit from and care for each other. Furthermore, the “Careful Child Care Physician” develops a child-centered health care system. Doctors will help children during the golden growth period of 0-3 years old, linking children’s preventive health care, vaccination and other health care services. This year, Hsinchu City in cooperation with 53 pediatricians, dedicated physicians will continue to take care of the health of children under the age of 3 starting in 2020, and currently 10,241 children are under care.
Director Chen further pointed out that the last step is “child-friendly medical care with dedicated care.” This year, the health bureaus of four counties and cities in Taozhuzhumiao, North District, 9 hospitals and 8 clinics have jointly participated to promote parent-child safety, friendly medical treatment space, and child care.
