Is drinking beer to cool down in summer the same as drinking oil directly? Nutritionist warns: Two bottles a day will exceed the caloric limit
Excessive drinking is like “drinking fat”! Nutritionist: 2 bottles a day is a calorie-explosive table
In the hot summer, many people like to drink “cold beer” to cool down. Drinks are indispensable when gathering with relatives and friends. However, alcohol is known as “liquid bread”. Although a can of beer does not have high calories, its refreshing taste makes people unable to resist drinking one bottle after another. The accumulation of calories cannot be underestimated.
Nutritionist Gao Minmin said in a social post that if people have chronic diseases or obesity, they must exercise moderation when drinking and develop the habit of counting calories. The formula for the calories contained in a bottle of beer is: volume of wine (ml) x alcohol concentration (%) x 7 calories. Dietitian Gao Minmin takes dark beer as an example: a can of 440ml, alcohol concentration 4.9%, has about 150 calories based on formula calculation.
So how much alcohol can you drink every day? Dietitian Gao Minmin said that the daily intake of women is about 1 alcohol equivalent, and that of men is 2 alcohol equivalents. One alcohol equivalent is about 15 grams of alcohol, which is about 105 calories. After conversion, according to different types of alcohol, the maximum daily drinking amounts for men and women are as follows:
Beer: about 750/375c.c.
Red wine: about 220/110c.c.
Sake: about 200/100c.c.
Fruit wine: about 300/150c.c.
Spirits: about 60-80/30-40c.c.
If calculated based on a small 330ml can of general beer, adult women should not drink more than 1 can a day, and men should not drink more than 2 cans a day. Nutritionist Gao Minmin reminds that excessive alcohol can cause fat accumulation and weight gain. People are advised not to drink excessively and cause physical discomfort.
Are Taiwanese “the worst people on earth for drinking”? “6 Things” You Should Do Before Drinking Yellow Soup
In addition to avoiding excessive drinking, people who are prone to blushing or developing alcohol rash after drinking should also pay attention to the risks of excessive drinking. According to past research, alcohol is metabolized into toxic “acetaldehyde” by alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH), which is then metabolized into non-toxic acetic acid by acetaldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH2). When the body lacks ALDH2, it will cause “acetaldehyde” to be cleared slowly. Nearly 50% of Taiwanese people have ALDH2 deficiency, and they are called “the most unsuitable group on the planet for drinking.”
Therefore, the Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare, Health Promotion Administration, based on the latest British drinking guidelines and national conditions, puts forward 6 suggestions for people to refer to before drinking:
People who will blush or develop alcohol rash after drinking alcohol should try to avoid drinking. Even in small amounts, harm can still occur.
Limit the amount of alcohol you drink each time you drink.
Slow down your drinking speed, do not drink on an empty stomach, and drink alternately with food and water.
Avoid dangerous situations and activities (for example, do not drive after drinking, do not engage in sports), make sure that when you are drinking, someone you know is with you, and you can ensure that you can get home safely.
Anything can happen with drinking, such as accidents, misjudgment of dangerous situations, and loss of self-control. Never drink too much, too quickly, or too much at one time.
In addition to those who will blush after drinking, there are also the following types of people who should drink in moderation: young people, the elderly, those with a lighter weight, those with diseases, and those who use drugs. These people are particularly susceptible to the influence of alcohol.
