Drink mother soup like this! Energy drinks not only give you a pair of wings, but drinking too much may make you meet God early?

I stayed up late to work overtime today and had to get up at six o’clock the next morning. Does this scene sound familiar? Living in an era where everyone slashes, sleep deprivation is the norm for office workers. If you don’t rely on black coffee to maintain your mental focus, you must have a can of energy drink in your hand that will give you wings.

But can energy drinks give you wings and maybe send you off to meet God early?

Is it possible to get diabetes if you drink energy drinks until your heart fails?

Recently, St Thomas’ Hospital in London, UK, published a study in the British Medical Journal based on the case of a 21-year-old man, pointing out that drinking energy drinks can actually lead to heart failure! Participants in this study said that the 21-year-old man suffered from heart failure, but there was no history of genetic diseases or heart disease in his family. The inference was that he drank four 500ml cans of energy drinks a day in the past two years. , and the severity of his heart failure warranted consideration of an organ transplant.

“When I drank four cans of energy drinks a day, I began to suffer from heart palpitations and severe migraines, which interfered with my ability to work daily and study at school,” the man recalled.

The destructive power of energy drinks does not stop there. It is rich in taurine, which is an ingredient that people with weak hearts should not consume in large quantities; and a large amount of sugar, with an average of 12 grams of sugar in a can of energy drinks alone. According to the recommendations given by the Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare, sugar intake should not exceed 50 grams a day. One can of energy drink already accounts for a quarter of the daily intake, not to mention this British man’s 4 cans a day. In addition to the usual meal intake, I have already consumed more than 50 grams of sugar. We all know that excessive sugar intake can lead to diabetes. It seems that this man not only has to worry about organ transplantation, but also needs to think carefully about diabetes.

Although this man’s way of drinking energy drinks is different from ordinary people and is still an isolated case, this study also helps the world clarify that if too much caffeine is consumed in daily life, the impact on the human body can be said to be All harm and no benefit.

However, many people are already heavy caffeine addicts, and it is very difficult for them to stop consuming caffeine. So how much caffeine should be consumed in a day without causing harm to the human body? According to American standards, an adult’s daily intake of 400 mg is the limit, and pregnant women can only ingest 200 mg. However, the recommended daily intake for adults in Taiwan is 300 mg. Taking commercial coffee as an example, the caffeine content of a “large cup of iced Americano” There are about 200 milligrams. If you drink 2 cups a day, it exceeds the recommended intake for adults in Taiwan.

This is not over yet! Excessive caffeine can also cause frequent urination, anxiety, insomnia, and headaches. If you have low caffeine tolerance or are allergic to caffeine, you should avoid drinking too much. In short, it is recommended to drink in moderation any beverage containing a large amount of caffeine. Otherwise, if you drink it and fly to heaven to meet God, you may not be able to fly back.
